Vin Diesel has offered an enthusiastic update on Fast Forever, the upcoming 11th and final chapter of the Fast & Furious franchise. The actor described the screenplay as the strongest he has read in years, raising anticipation for the blockbuster’s scheduled release on March 17, 2028.
In a recent Instagram post, Diesel encouraged fans to revisit the original The Fast and the Furious when it returns to theaters on August 21 for its 25th anniversary.
Reflecting on the conclusion of the long-running action series, Diesel praised screenwriter Mike Leslie and revealed how deeply the story affected him.
“I just read the Fast Forever script by Mike Leslie. It is the best script I have read in decades. I am still crying.”

Diesel also wrote,
“When March 17th, 2028 comes… you will thank God you got to see the first one in theaters this summer,”
hinting that the finale will connect closely with the franchise’s origins.
Earlier this year, the actor told fans the team had spent more than three years working to deliver what he called
“the most amazing finale.”
Although the main film series is ending, Diesel has previously revealed that NBCUniversal is developing multiple television projects set within the Fast & Furious universe, ensuring the franchise will continue beyond Fast Forever.
