Spider-Man: Brand New Day Holds No. 1 Spot at U.K. Box Office for Second Week

Sony’s superhero sequel leads the U.K. and Ireland box office again, while The Odyssey remains in second place during its fourth weekend.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has maintained its dominance at the U.K. and Ireland box office, remaining at No. 1 for a second consecutive weekend. According to Variety, the Sony superhero movie earned £10.1 million ($13.6 million) during its second frame, bringing its cumulative total to $87.4 million after 13 days in theaters.

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey continued its strong theatrical run in second place. The Universal epic collected another $4.8 million during its fourth weekend, lifting its cumulative U.K. and Ireland total to $82.6 million.

The battle between the two major releases remains one of the key stories at the box office, with Spider-Man: Brand New Day maintaining a narrow lead despite The Odyssey having been in cinemas considerably longer.

Paramount’s animated Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie opened in third place with $2.2 million. Disney’s Toy Story 5 followed at No. 4, adding $848,063 during its eighth weekend and reaching $72.5 million overall.

Universal’s Minions & Monsters completed the top five. The animated movie earned $557,564 in its sixth weekend, taking its cumulative total to $21.5 million.

Elsewhere, Andre Rieu’s 2026 Summer Concert: Viva Maastricht! opened at No. 6 with $671,742, while Disney’s live-action Moana added $490,552 in seventh place.

Studiocanal’s Ice Cream Man debuted at No. 8 with $414,256. The Invite and Obsession rounded out the Top 10, with the latter reaching $26.3 million after 13 weeks.
