Sony Pictures has revealed a new poster for Jumanji: Open World, offering another look at the upcoming adventure starring Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan. Directed by Jake Kasdan, the film is scheduled to arrive exclusively in theaters on December 25, 2026, and has been billed as the final installment in the current trilogy.
Johnson shared the poster on Instagram, teasing the film’s central premise with the caption, “Two worlds collide.” He also described the upcoming adventure as “One final game,” reinforcing the movie’s positioning as the concluding chapter of the franchise’s modern reboot.
The story follows the game’s heroes as they escape their console and cause chaos in the real world. The first trailer, released over the summer, showed the familiar characters appearing outside the game as awkward versions of their video game avatars.
The sequel reunites the central cast, including Nick Jonas, Alex Wolff, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Rhys Darby, and Danny DeVito. Kasdan returns as director and co-wrote the screenplay with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg.
The new film follows Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) and Jumanji: The Next Level (2019). The first movie earned more than $950 million worldwide, while its sequel grossed over $801 million, according to the figures cited by The Hollywood Reporter.
Sony Pictures’ official movie website features the trailer and promotional materials for the upcoming release.
